Dukaan alternatives for Indian sellers

Updated 14 October 2026

If your store runs on Dukaan and you are thinking about moving, this guide lists five places you could go and what each one takes from an order. The prices come from each company's own pricing page, read on 13 October 2026.

What has changed at Dukaan

Two things are on record. In July 2023 Dukaan replaced 90% of its support staff with an AI chatbot, as Business Standard reported. And Store Leads, which counts live online stores, found 2,087 Dukaan stores in the third quarter of 2026, 19% fewer than a year earlier.

We found no announcement that Dukaan is closing.

What Dukaan costs today

We could not confirm Dukaan's current prices. Its pricing page fills in the numbers after it loads, and the articles that quote them disagree with each other. Open the pricing page yourself, write down your plan fee and any fee charged on each order, and put those numbers next to the ones below.

Five alternatives and what they charge

PlatformFixed feeFee on each online order
Shopify Basic₹1,994 a month, or ₹1,499 a month billed yearly2%, added to your payment gateway's own fee
Instamojo Lite₹05% + ₹3
Instamojo Growth₹14,999 a year2% + ₹3
ShopDeck₹03% + GST, on delivered orders
WooCommerceThe plugin is free. You pay for hosting and look after the site yourself.None from WooCommerce
KartMojo Launch₹0A commission on online orders and nothing on cash on delivery. The rate is on the pricing page.

Shopify's 2% and KartMojo's commission come on top of what your payment gateway charges. Ask Instamojo and ShopDeck whether their fee already covers payment processing, because that changes the comparison.

Run the sum on your own orders

Take a store with 200 online orders a month at ₹800 each, which is ₹1,60,000 in sales.

  • Instamojo Lite: 5% is ₹8,000, plus ₹3 on 200 orders is ₹600. Total ₹8,600.
  • ShopDeck: 3% is ₹4,800, plus GST at 18%, ₹864. Total ₹5,664 if every order is delivered.
  • Shopify Basic: ₹1,994 plus 2% of sales, ₹3,200. Total ₹5,194 before the gateway's fee.
  • Instamojo Growth: ₹1,250 a month for the plan, plus 2% (₹3,200) and ₹600. Total ₹5,050.

A plan with no monthly fee is the cheapest one only while your sales are small. Redo this sum with your own order count and average order value before you choose.

Before you move

  1. Download your products, customers and past orders as files while your Dukaan account is still active.
  2. If you use your own domain, check that you control it at the registrar, so you can point it at the new store.
  3. List your best-selling product pages and redirect each old address to the new one. This is what protects your Google ranking.
  4. Place a test order on the new store with each payment method before you tell customers.

Where KartMojo fits

KartMojo is built for Indian sellers of physical products. Payments go into your own Razorpay or Cashfree account. Every order gets a GST invoice with the HSN code and the CGST, SGST or IGST split. Cash on delivery comes with a check on whether you deliver to the customer's pincode.

Dukaan does two things better. It has a mobile app, while KartMojo is a web dashboard that works in a phone browser. And a first store goes live faster on Dukaan. The full comparison covers the rest.

Questions sellers ask

Is Dukaan shutting down?

We found no announcement that it is. What is on record is that it replaced most of its support staff with an AI chatbot in July 2023, and that the number of live Dukaan stores fell 19% in the year to the third quarter of 2026.

What is the cheapest Dukaan alternative?

It depends on your sales. With a few orders a month, a plan with no monthly fee costs least. As sales grow, a percentage fee on every order overtakes a flat monthly plan, so work out the total on your own order count.

Will I lose my Google ranking if I move my store?

Not if you redirect each old page address to its new one and keep the same domain. Rankings drop when old addresses start returning an error page.
